POSITION
SUMMARY:
Responsible for
providing design support, application support and training on CITY MULTI
systems
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to
the following:
·
Provide technical support on product
specification, layout, design, and application of CITY MULTI systems.
·
Conduct and generate technical design and
application training on product specification, layout, design, and application
to support zone sales.
·
Develop and maintain technical documentation,
such as design basics, application notes, and white papers to support
engineering and specifying activities.
·
Work with other Engineers and Sales dept. to
ensure product code compliance.
·
Run and audit proprietary software tools to aid
in the system design in terms of mechanical and electrical layout, including
energy modeling.
·
Survey and analyze competitive products for
consultation with Sales and other departments.
·
Provide technical design and application support
on Mr. Slim and Lossnay products.
·
Prepare estimates, quotes, product proposals,
and cost benefits as needed.
·
Interface with Property Owners, Facility
Managers, Building Managers, Engineers, Architects, and Contractors on
technical issues as needed.
·
Assist architects/engineers with layout and
design of systems.
·
Review system design/layout drawings as needed.
·
Assist engineers in determining optimal
equipment needs based on building heating and cooling loads.
·
Assist engineers with required design
calculations for submittal to local authorities.
·
Attend site visits as needed.
·
Develop ongoing relationships with MEHVAC sales
staff and key customers.
The non-essential functions of the position include, but are not limited
to the following:
·
Various support functions relating to specific
sales activities and opportunities.
·
Other tasks and projects as requested.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
·
Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
·
Prefer 5-10 years engineering design experience
in HVAC with energy modeling background.
·
Prefer LEED AP accreditation or experience LEED
certification process.
·
Excellent communication, presentation, training,
and technical writing skills.
·
Strong computer skills required, especially with
Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
·
Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
·
Analytical approach to problem solving.
·
Team oriented and self motivated.
·
Prepared to travel 30%.
