Nation’s Third-Largest Mechanical Contractor Will Use Mitsubishi Electric’s Mr. Slim Air Conditioning and Heating Products for Residential and Commercial Installations
CYPRESS, CA—November 1, 2001— Comfort Systems USA, the
nation’s third-largest mechanical contractor, has selected Mitsubishi Electric
Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning to be its preferred supplier of ductless air
conditioning and heating equipment.
Under an agreement that took effect on October 1, 2001, Comfort Systems will offer only Mitsubishi Electric’s Mr. Slim line of ductless products for commercial and residential installations. Ranked number three on Contractor Magazine’s list of the nation’s 100 largest contractors, Houston, Texas-based Comfort Systems USA has 120 locations throughout the United States.

Comfort Systems technicians will receive training and support at Mitsubishi Electric’s new HVAC technical training facility in Lawrenceville, GA, where the complete line of Mr. Slim products are installed and available for hands-on instruction.
The agreement solidifies a nationwide presence for Mitsubishi Electric’s Mr. Slim brand. The company pioneered ductless systems in the mid-1980s, and the Mr. Slim line now features the widest selection of models and innovative designs in the ductless industry.
Located in Lawrenceville, GA, the HVAC division of Mitsubishi Electric & Electronics USA, Inc. was established in 1984 to market state-of-the-art Mr. Slim™ split-ductless heating and air conditioning systems in North America.
