Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Advanced Products
Division
Joins U.S. Green Building Council
Move marks the company’s commitment to effective energy use
SUWANEE, Ga. – January 29, 2008 – Mitsubishi
Electric HVAC Advanced Products Division has become a manufacturer member of the
U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), marking the company’s commitment to the
effective use of energy through the development of environmentally responsible
air-conditioning and heating products and technology.
“Joining the USGBC is a key step in advancing our mission to develop reliable,
energy effective products,” says Lorie Quillin-Bell, director of marketing,
Mitsubishi Electric HVAC. “With increasing energy costs and heightened concern
regarding environmental impact, we are committed to making our Mr. Slim® and
CITY MULTI® systems even more energy effective and cost efficient.”
Mitsubishi Electric’s proprietary INVERTER-driven compressor is highly
responsive and efficient. The technology effectively uses energy to provide
optimum comfort in all of a building’s connected zones. By varying the capacity
of the system to respond to indoor space load requirements and outdoor
conditions, Mr. Slim and CITY MULTI systems provide the ultimate in precise
indoor comfort control in addition to saving energy.
The Mr. Slim split-ductless system, available in the M- and P-Series, is the
perfect solution for residential or light commercial applications, according to
Quillin-Bell. The MXZ-Series delivers exceptional performance for up to three
separate zones, while the P-Series indoor unit features a wider air stream,
which means the fans do not have to work as hard to produce air coverage.
CITY MULTI VRFZ technology offers the ultimate in freedom and flexibility by
ensuring total comfort for all occupants of any type of building. A variety of
outdoor units, indoor units and controllers are available. With CITY MULTI
systems, the temperature in each zone is precisely controlled while operating at
optimum energy-saving levels. All CITY MULTI systems use
environmentally-friendly R410A refrigerant and can be managed through the CITY
MULTI Controls Network (CMCN). Recently, the environmental services director of
the Covenant Shore Retirement Communities, North Mercer Island, Wash., reported
that CITY MULTI system installation has delivered a 20 percent annual energy
savings since 2005.
The USGBC is a non-profit organization composed of leaders from every sector of
the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally
responsible, profitable and healthy. Recently, the organization reached its
11,000-member mark.
